Hiroshige 2010 Wall Calendar

Renowned for his landscapes, Utagawa Hiroshige (1797–1858) created views of his native Japan that are celebrated throughout the world. In juxtaposing foreground elements with distant scenic views, he created a style that blended Western influences with Japan’s meisho (famous places) tradition. This calendar presents twelve prints from Hiroshige’s extraordinary series One Hundred Famous Views of Edo, depicting the changing seasons, holidays, and everyday life in Edo (now Tokyo).

Dimensions: 12 x 13 in.; opens to 12 x 26 in.
