Hiroshige Iris Scarf
Utagawa Hiroshige (Japan, 1797-1858)

Hiroshige began One Hundred Famous Views of Edo when he was sixty years old. Edo (modern Tokyo), is where Hiroshige was born and lived. The prints in his last series reflect the introspection and solitude of his last years and are considered to be a masterpiece in the history of ukiyo-e (pictures of the floating world).

One Hundred Famous Views of Edo is part of the Asian collection in the Brooklyn Museum.

The Iris Garden inspired the design on this 100% silk scarf.
