Maricopa Snake Bracelet
The serpent pattern of this silver bracelet comes from a clay bowl made by Mary Juan, a Maricopa Indian potter active in the 1940s and '50s. The Maricopa were part of the Yuman group in the lower Colorado River valley in Arizona. They were principally known as farmers.
