This scarf is printed with a memorable photograph by Weegee, Crowd at Coney Island (1940). The image is printed in saturated shades of gray and black on 100% silk chiffon. Imported. Known chiefly for his graphic black-and-white shots of nocturnal crime scenes in New York City, Weegee (aka Arthur Fellig, 1899–1968) took this riveting photograph as part of a series showing how New Yorkers were coping with the record high temperatures of the summer of 1940. The photograph is in the collection of the International Center of Photography. 36" x 36"
