Founded on the idea of creating modern, playful heirlooms through creativity and resourcefulness, Tilly Doro turns recycled materials from fast fashion manufacturers into beautifully designed pieces that keep waste out of landfills and give old adornments new life.
Over years of treasure hunting, founder and designer Nogah Rotstein amassed a collection of vintage jewelry that she used to create one-of-a-kind necklaces, infusing old pieces with new life. Guided by intuition and allowing for accidents, she began a career as a jeweler and spent over a decade making private label accessories for brands like Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and Free People.
With Tilly Doro, Nogah continues to be inspired by history and sustainability. All pieces are sculpted and hand-formed into textured shapes that are cast in recycled metal (primarily brass and zinc) and coated in gold plating. These clean, classic totems are combined with fabric, dyed rope, or enamel, juxtaposing refined elements with an organic, hand-made feel. Influenced by nature, symbols, asymmetry and balance, Tilly Doro reflects the spirit of the ancient past within a modern aesthetic.
Dedicated to sustainable and conscious business and production choices, Tilly Doro uses primarily deadstock and repurposed materials sourced from fast fashion manufacturers. Each piece is handmade with love.
