KariAndGo hats are handmade in Ghana with traditional vibrant African fabrics. Each piece is a collaboration between local Ghana creatives and Founder CEO Akosua Karikari. Akosua works with a Ghanaian designer, Cephas, to create unique objects using local materials that display the rich colors of African prints.

Akosua Karikari is a dual board certified Adult Gerontology and Family Nurse Practitioner with a post masters certificate in emergency medicine. Her love for her Ghanaian heritage and culture helped to birth KariAndGo. She continues to work in healthcare and build her small business.

During the pandemic Akosua says “KariAndGo was my outlet and safe place outside of the hospital”. Akosua prides herself with all her products being handmade in Ghana. She employs local artisans, photographers, seamstress, tailors and craftsman. Akosua says “ I want to spread our beautiful Ghanaian traditions and culture to the world”.
