Les Canailles studio was founded in 2015 by Diane Marissal and Jérémie Leblanc-Barbedienne, a duo mixing the literary and artistic influences of one with the visual and design culture of the other.
During her studies at l'école nationale supérieure d'arts de Paris-Cergy (ENSAPC), Diane developed her works of theoretical and sculptural research around the idea of joining as a generator of shape and form. In his studies, Jérémie works in an art directorial style. After five years at ESAG Penninghen, Paris, he looked to create audiovisual productions with a strong graphic and advertising background.
Their meeting on a trip in Buenos Aires in 2016 became the beginning of a hands-on collaboration, resulting in works of collage and printed objects.
