In 1983 William Bultman was shocked and dismayed to learn that no one in the U.S. seemed to be making wooden blocks for children anymore. He began hand-manufacturing classic wooden alphabet blocks in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and named his company “Uncle Goose.” Today, Uncle Goose continues to handcraft their products in Grand Rapids, using materials sourced from around the Great Lakes.
