KAWS, is an American artist who started as a graffiti artist in Jersey City before becoming a globally recognized contemporary artist known for reinterpreting pop culture icons with his signature "X" eyes. KAWS graduated from the School of Visual Arts, began their career by painting over advertisements, and later moved from street art to creating highly sought-after limited-edition toys and large-scale sculptures. KAWS currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
