Emend Studio is a one woman run, New York City based handmade jewelry business. Founded in 2022 by Hells Kitchen native Lucy Cohen, Emend Studio was born out of a necessity for a creative outlet. After falling ill with a debilitating autoimmune disease in 2020, Lucy lost her mobility leaving her feeling depleted and directionless. She found immense healing and purpose in sourcing preloved jewelry components and giving them new life which was the original concept for the brand, but over the past few years she's fallen in love with beading and making the pieces by hand in her Chelsea apartment.
